Film: A Single Man directed by Tom Ford

A Single Man is set in the 60's, It is a beautiful adaptation of the novel A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood. It is directed by Tom Ford so the clothes are extremely handsome, and Tom Ford model Jon Kortajarena makes an appearance as a prostitute named Carlos. The film is so classy and classic; every single shot is perfect and the actors are incredible. All of the dialogue is so amazing and the storyline is taking.

Tom Ford

Tom Ford Ads have always been lude and sexual, but everything in the shots are so beautiful and perfectly executed. Everything is caught in the right moment and the menswear is absolutely amazing. I think not enough people are dressing well enough these days; it's all baggy tees and "skuxx" cuts. It's like, go buy a purple Boom bag and some nike high-tops, douche.
These Tom Ford men are real men.

Takato Yamamoto

This is Takato Yamamoto's work.

American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

"You like Huey Lewis and the News?"
"They're okay."
"Their early work was a little 'new wave' for my taste, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own. Commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism, that really gives the songs a BIG boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour. In '87, Huey released this, Fore! The most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is Hip To Be Square, a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics, but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself. Hey Paul! AAARRGGGH! Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now you fucking stupid bastard!"

Eloisa to Abelard by Alexander Pope

This is just a small quote segment from the poem Eloisa to Abelard by Alexander Pope. It is a reference from one of my favourite films, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind directed by Michel Gondry which is named after a line in the poem. The whole poem can be found at http://www.monadnock.net/poems/eloisa.html .

"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;
Labour and rest, that equal periods keep;
"Obedient slumbers that can wake and weep;"
Desires compos'd, affections ever ev'n,
Tears that delight, and sighs that waft to Heav'n.
Grace shines around her with serenest beams,
And whisp'ring angels prompt her golden dreams.
For her th' unfading rose of Eden blooms,
And wings of seraphs shed divine perfumes,
For her the Spouse prepares the bridal ring,
For her white virgins hymeneals sing,
To sounds of heav'nly harps she dies away,
And melts in visions of eternal day.
Far other dreams my erring soul employ,
Far other raptures, of unholy joy:
When at the close of each sad, sorrowing day,
Fancy restores what vengeance snatch'd away,
Then conscience sleeps, and leaving nature free,
All my loose soul unbounded springs to thee.
Oh curs'd, dear horrors of all-conscious night!
How glowing guilt exalts the keen delight!
Provoking Daemons all restraint remove,
And stir within me every source of love.
I hear thee, view thee, gaze o'er all thy charms,
And round thy phantom glue my clasping arms.
I wake — no more I hear, no more I view,
The phantom flies me, as unkind as you.
I call aloud; it hears not what I say;
I stretch my empty arms; it glides away.
To dream once more I close my willing eyes;
Ye soft illusions, dear deceits, arise!
Alas, no more — methinks we wand'ring go
Through dreary wastes, and weep each other's woe,
Where round some mould'ring tower pale ivy creeps,
And low-brow'd rocks hang nodding o'er the deeps.
Sudden you mount, you beckon from the skies;
Clouds interpose, waves roar, and winds arise.
I shriek, start up, the same sad prospect find,
And wake to all the griefs I left behind. "

Niagara: Beyond The Pale

Niagara--Beyond The Pale Art
Niagara was in the punk/rock band Destroy All Monsters and started to create art that showed in small exhibitions around Detroit; soon after Juxtapoz were heralding her as "The Queen Of Detroit".

"The Niagara Girl"

These bold female guises represent feminist swagger with drop dead gorgeous looks and an equally dangerous demeanor.
